Formulas
Working volume (gal) = area (ft²) × (ON level − OFF level, ft) × 7.48
Fill time (min) = working volume ÷ inflow (gpm)
Pump-down time (min) = working volume ÷ (pump rate − inflow)
Cycle time = fill + pump-down · starts/hour = 60 ÷ cycle · run % = pump-down ÷ cycle × 100
